LAURA GAEBELEIN MANTIUS

ARTIST STATEMENT
My art springs from a deep love of animals and nature. I want to communicate this ethos to the viewer. To capture the light falling softly in the woods , the glint in a rooster's eye, or the splashy take off ofswans begins to engage our antenna to the world of living things. There is no greater reward for me than to see genuine emotion spring to the face of my client upon first viewing their commissioned animal portrait or landscape subject. Engagement with art can motivate us to appreciate, protect and preserve what we love.
