David’s father, Robert, and Robert’s brother, Richard, were pioneer dealers in Americana. David attended the High Mowing School in Wilton, NH which was greatly influenced by Rudolph Steiner. After boarding school, David left for Europe to attend the Academy at Florence. After studies, David began his career living on the island of Poros with other fellow English artists. Their influence is still seen to date in his work. David moved to London where he met his wife Ann with whom he shares three beautiful children with.
With his family, David returned to the United States and started working in the antiques business with his father and uncle. In time, David moved to Nantucket, MA where he bought and restored an 18th century antique cape. While living in Nantucket, David partnered with Kevin Paulson and together they painted folk murals around New England. Their very popular work was much sought after throughout New England.
In the 2000, David moved to East Montpelier, VT where he purchased and restored an old farmhouse. David has now settled in Concord, NH for his retirement however enjoys traveling regularly. He paints to this day and his work is currently on display in Nantucket.

He now pursues his own vision of painting, not that of the mural painting era of his life, in his Concord, NH studio. When not painting he enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren.
